Studio 44 Mauritius

Studio 44 is a creative workshop situated at 44 Coastal Road in Roches Noires, where Jean-Claude and Barbara Desvaux de Marigny model molten glass with great talent and imagination. This Mauritian couple who lived for many years in South Africa developed a passion for glass blowing, particularly for Murano glass. Murano island, near Venice is well-known for its centuries-old tradition of glass blowing. Jean-Claude and Barbara have been trained by master glass-blowers over the years. When they settled back in Mauritius, they dedicated themselves to this activity. With their artistic talent and well-versed techniques, they create unique pieces of art with masterful blends of colour. At Studio 44, they also produce made-to-order creations.
